Train the Mind Behind
the Performance.

The Program

This Is Not Motivation.
This Is Training.

Most athletes train everything except the part that determines how they perform when it actually counts. They know their sport. They put in the work. But when the pressure hits, the mind runs on autopilot — reacting to mistakes, playing for the wrong reasons, losing focus at the worst moments.

The Intentional Athlete Program addresses the operating system underneath the performance. Not your athlete's talent or work ethic — who they actually are while they are competing.

Five modules. A 28-day attention training protocol. Tools for self-talk, intensity regulation, and a complete daily mental game routine. Everything grounded in the same framework used with professional athletes and coaches — adapted for athletes ages 10 to 18.

Five Modules · 28-Day Protocol

One Complete System.

01
Identity
Know who you are as an athlete — and close the gap between who you want to be and who actually shows up under pressure.
02
Motivation
Understand what actually drives you — and what drains you. Build the kind of motivation that does not depend on outcomes or approval.
03
Focus
Map where your mind goes under pressure. Build a reset move, name your self-talk, and learn to return to what matters.
04
System
A daily Prime, Perform, and Learn structure — built from everything in the program — that runs before, during, and after every competition.
28-Day MBAT Protocol
Running alongside all five modules is Mindfulness-Based Attention Training — 15 minutes, five days a week, four focus modes. This is the gym for your athlete's attention. The same protocol used with professional athletes, adapted for young competitors.
“The best athletes don’t just play the game.
They know who they are while they’re playing it.”

John Baker

John Baker spent 14 seasons in professional baseball — seven of those in the Major Leagues with the Marlins, Padres, and Cubs. He knows firsthand what it feels like to compete at the highest level, and what happens when the mental game is the thing standing between a good athlete and a great one.

After his playing career, John earned an M.A. in Performance Psychology and went back to the game as a coach — serving as Head Applied Mental Performance Coach with the Chicago Cubs under Joe Maddon, earning a 2016 World Series ring, and later as VP of Performance and Director of Coaching with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Intentional Athlete Program is built on the same framework he developed working with professional athletes. Adapted for young competitors. Never watered down.
